Who are your musical influences?

A difficult question as I love such a wide range of material from rock to classical. It's a question of appreciation of something special or unique. The main reason I got hooked on keyboards was a result of being a huge teenage fan of Marillion and in particular, Mark Kelly the incredibly gifted keyboard player of the band. The versatility and range in sound possible from keyboards was at that time, and is more so to me mow, a complete addiction. I guess the 80's music genre is also partly to blame - love it or hate it, there were some gifted bands around who remain ingrained on my brain!

Who inspires you most in music?

I am cosntantly in awe of true tallent and the passion and belief that often goes with it so can't give a specific on this one This goes for the proffessional and amature music scene. To single one or two individuals out just isn't possible. playing so many covers now is great as it opens so many doors into musical avenues that I would never have dreamed of going down. This is refreshing and an eye opener for me as well as being an enjoyable experience!

What was your most memorable moment with Turtle Shed?

Being such a new band member (with such a bad memory) the pages are so far blank to me. So, I would have to say playing September and (my very poor attempt at) On My Radio at the first rehearshal I had with the band. The band has a great history, great musicianship and a fantastic future. I'm glad I'm on the same journey!

So if the band are given a huge wedge of money and asked to devote their lives to entertaining people with brilliant music, what will be your reaction?

Fantastic.... now I get to give up my day job and get to do something I really want to do and get paid for it! Well, you've got to dream.....
