Stop press news from the world of
turtle....
It is with regret that the band announces the
departure of the saxist Dave. Dave was finding the mix of professional
responsibility and the life rock'n'roll to be a little demanding and something
had to give. It was unfortunately the music and the band wishes Dave all the
best in his future ventures.
My sources tell me that the band has no intention
of replacing Dave and that the Sax slot will remain just that. They will return
to guitar based music with Tim humming the solos that are missing, and that
sounds like something worth waiting for.
Last Saturday night showed the Shed playing their
first gig without Dave and though he was missed, the band rocked it up for a
mixed audience at a private party. Tim was a bit ill and slightly hoarse at
times which meant his wind instrument impressions during Woolly Bully were an
image of comic genius.
Don't forget to any readers, keep the use of the
contact us section with any questions or gig requests and I will be sure to pass
them to the band.
Looking forward to the forthcoming Salisbury gig
and the Bath Uni job on 14th March. Be great to see some of the regular Faces
there, but am thinking Steve Marriott is preoccupied.
