The
100th Gig
Hi all
Well last year was a blast for the band. Playing
at the West Wilts show was a gas (except for Neil cocking up when September
Ends), and there were many memorable parties and Weddings. Marc the sound sound
chap has become a permanent feature and the band has never sounded so
great.
With new stuff on the horizon this year looks like
it will be just a continuation of the fun of the last, and it got off to a great
start with a riot of a gig at that fantastic pub The New Inn
Westwood.
March sees the 100th (ish) Gig of
the band and to celebrate they will be playing at The Bell on the
Green in Devizes on Saturday 8th MARCH 2008. This
will be free entry (though we you may be asked a couple of quid for charity) and
it is an 'all welcome' job, so it will be great to see as many people as
possible come through the doors. The gig will be in the function room, and we
hope to make it a fun night and not too serious. SO come and have a few beers
and have a laugh with us.
The gigs are beginning to mount up for the year, as
the band gets better known locally for being THE band to have at your party, but
hopefully a there will be a few more in pubs. We will soon have some dates for
the usual venues in West Lavington, Devizes and Amesbury and hope to play in
pubs a little wider as the year goes.
On 5th MArch Turtleshed will be playing a twenty
minute slot at the Fatboys Charity night at the Twelve Bar in Swindon. An brill
annual event for a good cause.
Hope to see you at the 100th bash, as ever I will
be the one in the feather boa, with a pint of something nice in my hand singing
softly and dancing hard.
