Stop Press - Jo Is Leaving...

 Sad news for the band

Turtle  Shed bassist Jo Taylor has announced her retirement from the band and intends hanging up her strings as soon as a replacement has been found. Auditions are in hand and an announcement is expected from the band soon.  There isare going time in the new year to settle in a new member and with only a couple of gigs in January, don't expect to be playing before April 2006.

Jo has been in the band since the heady early days when they were crap; she has had a major influence over the material played and has contributed heavily to the development of the band keeping their focus and discipline.  She cites her reasons as just being tired of the rock'n'roll life and wishes to spend more time with her family and jugs.

The band are very sorry to see her go and wish her all the very best hoping that she will visit them with her new jugs in the future.

Neil, the Shed's formally curly haired guitarist (still the guitarist just isn't curly anymore, infact hasn't much hair anymore) says " I'm gonna miss her, and am grateful for all the times when she kept us in order and trod on frogs.  She's a top bassist and top rock chick"  Chris on Keys said ' Jo will be a real loss for the band. She has given us much.. I don't think we would would be where we are now if it wasn't for her.. Who's going to give me a kick up the ass when I...'

It is hoped that an interview will be available from Jo of life in Turtle  Shed some time in the new year.

Anyway get some comments on the comments page for Jo.
