I was chatting with the band after a gig the other
night at Buds2000 Chippenham which is a venue they always enjoy, but find a
challenge due to the young age of the audience.
They were saying how great it was to see loads of
recognisable faces in the audience who had only come because they read on this
site that the band was playing there. This gave them so much confidence ( and
the band were over-joyed).
Although this was not the best performance in
living history (I for one saw Jimi on the Isle of Wight in 1970, from my mothers
woom, well seeing perhaps is an exaggeration, but I heard it and even through a
belly, the man was god ) it had its moments of inventiveness. Apparently Neil
trapped his fingers in the car door whilst giving some kit to the roadies and
this made the chord of F particularly difficult. Well he said to me that his
finger were no F in use so I think that's what happened.
Anyway, a big up to Siobhan, Carol, Tracy, and Jane
to name a few. Thanks ladies, and it was a shame you couldn't make the after gig
party, coz the chap with the phone was ill and the fire brigade had to be called
when Tim handcuffed himself to a lamp post declaring they can't take
me.
Such fun in the Shed
